Ancient technology and submerged cities challenge the evolutionary claim that early humanity consisted of intellectually primitive people, according to Bible teacher Billy Crone.
During a recent interview with host Mondo Gonzales on Prophecy Watchers, Crone argued that archaeological discoveries align with the Bible’s description of an intelligent and technologically capable pre-Flood civilization.
“The Bible says the further you go back, the smarter man was,” Crone said.
Genesis 4 describes some of humanity’s earliest generations developing livestock practices, music, musical instruments and metalworking. Jubal became “the father of all those who play the harp and flute,” while Tubal-Cain forged tools from bronze and iron.

Crone said this biblical history directly contradicts the evolutionary narrative that humanity slowly progressed from primitive beginnings.
“That’s not what we find in the dirt,” he said. “That’s not what we find in archaeology.”
Ancient Technology That Should Not Exist
Crone pointed to the Antikythera mechanism, an ancient Greek device often described as an early analog computer. The complex mechanism tracked astronomical movements using an intricate arrangement of gears.
He also highlighted the Baghdad Battery, an ancient clay vessel containing metal components that researchers have demonstrated can produce a small electrical charge.
“We find evidence of technology that they had that we either are just now relearning or we still don’t know how to do,” Crone said.
Crone also referenced precision-made springs reportedly discovered in Russia’s Ural Mountains, along with ancient iron objects, jewelry, coins, tile floors and unfamiliar inscriptions. He believes these artifacts preserve evidence of humanity’s forgotten technological history.
The discussion also turned to submerged ruins discovered near India, Japan, Taiwan, the Bahamas and other locations. Crone described underwater structures containing staircases, statues, temples and carved figures that he believes are remnants of civilization before Noah’s Flood.
“What are lost cities doing around the world submerged underwater that we can verify?” Crone asked.
Ancient artifacts and underwater cities do more than challenge conventional history. They testify that the Bible accurately describes humanity’s beginnings and God’s judgment through the Flood.
“Every aspect of the biblical account is 100% spot-on,” he said.
Ancient humanity was not primitive. Scripture records a world filled with creativity, intelligence and technological achievement — a biblical history that discoveries continue to uncover.
