This is significant because prophecy foretells that before the great end-time conflict, Israel must be dwelling in security. Sobel references Ezekiel 38 and 39: “Israel has to be dwelling securely in their land, in cities without walls.” He connects this moment of peace to a temporary and ultimately deceptive stability, stating, “I believe that Iran is going to fall temporarily, and we’re going to see Saudi Arabia establish peace with Israel.” However, he warns, “It will be a temporary peace and ultimately a false peace that leads to the rise of the Antichrist.”

The Role of Donald Trump in Prophecy
A surprising development Sobel highlights is how Orthodox Jewish scholars are viewing President Donald Trump.
“The majority… of Orthodox rabbis, traditional rabbis from the land of Israel, from America, from around the world are talking about the election of President Donald Trump as being a key sign of the preparation of the coming of the Messiah.” He even notes that “the numerical value of President Donald Trump is the same as Messiah son of David.” While some may dismiss this, Sobel emphasizes that Jewish tradition sees Trump as playing a role in laying the groundwork for the Messiah’s return.
A Time for Action and Awareness
The connection between biblical prophecy and current events is undeniable. Sobel urges us to recognize that the Hebrew calendar year 5785 is a time of great significance: “Eighty-five is a numerical value of security in Hebrew. It’s also the numerical value of the word ‘trust’ in Hebrew.” He ties this to biblical promises, reminding us of God’s protection and calling: “To possess your promise, you need to understand your position in Messiah, in Yeshua, that you were seated with him in heavenly places.”
Deception and the Importance of Truth
One of Sobel’s most urgent warnings is about deception in the last days. He points to Jesus’ own words: “Yeshua says in the Olivet Discourse talking about the end times, there’s a great deception that even the elect are going to come close to being deceived.” Sobel warns that in this season, understanding God’s Word is critical: “Unless we know God’s Word, we will be deceived.” He stresses the foundational importance of the Ten Commandments, noting that they are “the foundation of God’s revelation.”
