A Michigan pastor is praising God for protecting his family after a terrifying late-night shooting that left their home riddled with bullets but miraculously left everyone inside unharmed.
According to a report by ClickOnDetroit’s WDIV Local 4, Pastor Flem Peacher VI of The Father & Son Faith Christian Center in Westland, Michigan, was home with his wife and five children on the night of May 6 when gunfire suddenly erupted outside their residence.
What followed was a nightmare that Peacher says lasted only seconds but felt much longer.
“The most devastating, longest 30 seconds of my life,” Peacher told WDIV.
The report noted that 20 shots were fired at the home, with 14 rounds penetrating the structure. Surveillance footage reportedly captured a suspect wearing a white hoodie walking near the property before returning and opening fire.
Inside the house, Peacher and his family scrambled for safety as bullets tore through walls and living spaces.
At first, the pastor thought he was hearing fireworks.
Then reality hit.
“Those weren’t fireworks; those were bullets ripping through my home,” Peacher told WDIV.
Given the number of shots fired and the number of people inside the residence, many would consider the outcome impossible. Yet despite the barrage of gunfire, not a single member of the family suffered physical injuries.

For Peacher, there is only one explanation.
“It was only the grace of God that He covered us and protected us,” he said.
The attack remains under investigation, and no arrests have been announced. While Peacher acknowledged the possibility that the shooting was targeted, he told WDIV he is unaware of any enemies or conflicts that would explain such violence.
“Don’t just turn yourself in,” Peacher said. “I’m praying that you turn yourself into the Lord, I’m praying that you would turn your heart to the Lord above all.”
In a culture often consumed by outrage and vengeance, Peacher’s testimony points to a different reality—one rooted in faith, forgiveness and trust in God’s protection. While investigators search for answers, the pastor remains steadfast in his belief that God preserved his family for a purpose.
Stories like this remind believers that God’s hand can be present even in life’s darkest moments. Fourteen bullets entered a home occupied by seven people. By every natural calculation, the outcome could have been tragic.
Instead, a pastor is sharing a testimony of divine protection.
The event was not merely a close call. It was evidence of God’s grace in action.
