A stunning and deeply spiritual moment is making waves across social media after a viral video captured Christians praying and speaking in tongues on White House grounds during a June 18, event hosted by the Trump Faith Office.
Shot through what appears to be a concealed camera, the clip shows a group of pastors and faith leaders gathered between the West Wing and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. One of the faith leaders passionately prays over America and President Donald Trump, surrounded by others who respond with vocal affirmations, praises and expressions of tongues.

“We just thank You right now Lord, from the east, the west, the north and the south, You will shake America with Your power and Your glory. We cancel every assignment of the enemy,” she declares as a person in the background begins praying in the spiritual gift of tongues. “This nation was birthed to be one nation under God and we are standing on the soil of the White House,” she continues.
“And we are declaring Your Word every place that our foot will trod.” With cries of “JESUS!” from attendees, she proclaims, “We thank You, oh Lord, you have brought us to the kingdom for our times and this is the time. And so we declare right now from the capital of our nation that America will come back to God. We will come to God! Nothing will stop this nation!”
She goes on to speak by “the authority of heaven,” declaring, “You told us to bring heaven to earth. Heaven is being released through Your people right now.” She thanks God for unity, comparing the moment to Pentecost: “Just like the 120 in the upper rooms when we were gathered together, the Holy Spirit fell. We thank You that we are gathered now in this century and this time for a purpose.”
Her intercession for President Trump was bold and specific: “We pray protection over President Trump. We pray legions of angels guiding and protecting him. We thank You every time he gets in an airplane that there will never ever be any attack on his life! He will live out his days for what You have written for him. And he will be a leader that this world will never forget because he will be remembered for turning America back to God!”
She concludes in triumph: “We declare Jehovah-Sabbaoth, that God arise and His enemies be scattered, that them that hate Him flee before Him! And it is time, and we are declaring today, that no stronghold, it doesn’t matter what it is, it cannot face the power of our Almighty God. Because it’s at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall declare that You and You alone are Lord.”
This electrifying moment, though viewed by some with skepticism and ridicule, represents a powerful move of prayer in the heart of American government. Yet as believers, we must also reflect on Paul’s exhortation in 1 Corinthians 14:14, where he warns that speaking in tongues without interpretation can cause confusion or a lack of understanding among unbelievers and believers alike. Without proper revelation, the verse says, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.”
Stating in verse 27 that “If anyone speaks in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and each in turn, and let one interpret.” Importantly, he also commands in verses 39-40, “Therefore, brothers, eagerly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.”

The event was part of a broader initiative described by Senior Advisor to the White House Faith Office Paula White, who posted: “Today the @whitehouse Faith Office hosted 100 Pastors and Faith Leaders from around the country for an in-depth briefing dealing with policy, religious liberties, foster care and adoption, flourishing minds and brain health (mental health care), and so much more! We prayed for @potus and the decisions he is making on world matters!”
The clip, now widely shared, wasn’t part of the official media coverage of the event but has stirred both criticism and praise. Still, one thing is clear, prayer is returning to the White House in power, and God’s people are not ashamed to call on His name.
