For more than three years, Bella Robertson Mayo and her husband, Jacob Mayo, carried a deeply personal hope into prayer. Now, the “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” couple is celebrating the arrival of their first child.
Their daughter, Merritt Presley Mayo, was born Sept. 17, one day after Bella’s 24th birthday. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, according to People.
“our rainbow baby !!!!!! 6 lb 8 oz of pure perfection — our girl, merritt presley mayo! Trust in God, He is so faithful!!” Bella wrote on Instagram.
Merritt’s birth marks a joyful new chapter for the couple, who married on the Robertson family’s Louisiana farm in June 2021. Behind the smiles shared publicly, Bella and Jacob had spent roughly three and a half years trying to conceive.
Bella began opening up about that difficult season while promoting “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” in 2025. She wanted others to understand that polished photographs rarely reveal the full story of someone’s life.
“When you just look at someone on social media, you can’t know what anyone’s going through,” Bella told Us Weekly.
Although the couple did not receive every explanation they sought, the waiting strengthened their dependence on Christ.
“In not finding answers, we found a lot of faith and a lot of strength in Christ,” Bella said on her sister Sadie Robertson Huff’s “WHOA That’s Good” podcast.

Korie Robertson, Bella’s mother, celebrated her granddaughter as a long-awaited blessing.
“The sweetest and most beautiful answer to prayer, beyond all we asked for or imagined. We are in LOVE!” Korie wrote on Instagram.
As Movieguide® reported, the Mayos have chosen to keep parts of their experience private. What they have shared, however, is a story of faith that endured unanswered questions and a family now overflowing with gratitude.
For Bella and Jacob, the waiting season has given way to midnight feedings, tiny sweaters and the long-awaited joy of holding Merritt close.
