Terrifying video from inside an Iranian passenger plane shows travelers screaming and praying as violent shaking sent ceiling panels and overhead-bin components falling into the cabin.
The incident involved a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 scheduled to travel from Mashhad in northeastern Iran to Kermanshah. The aircraft was carrying approximately 127 passengers and crew members.
Initial reports said the plane suffered a tire failure and possible engine damage after takeoff, forcing the pilot to return to Mashhad Hashemi Nejad International Airport for an emergency landing. The aircraft landed safely, and no injuries were reported.
Later reporting, however, indicated the plane may never have become airborne. According to Folha de S.Paulo, subsequent information showed that the crew aborted the takeoff while the aircraft was still on the runway.
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization reportedly found that a component designed to reduce vibrations in the main landing gear had failed. The tread of one of the aircraft’s tires also reportedly separated, contributing to the severe shaking.
Video shared by the Iranian news agency Akharin Khabar shows sections of the cabin’s interior trim falling onto passengers and exposing the framework above their seats.

A Sepehran Airlines spokesperson said the passengers disembarked safely and were placed on another flight to Kermanshah, according to UOL. One of the airport’s runways was temporarily closed but reopened later that day.
The incident followed another recent emergency involving a Sepehran Airlines aircraft that reportedly veered off a runway in Mashhad after its nose landing gear collapsed. No injuries were reported in that incident.
Despite the falling panels, violent shaking and panic inside the cabin, everyone emerged safely. We thank the Lord that this frightening incident did not turn into a tragedy.
