Former Green Beret Paul Bock entered the UFO disclosure world looking for answers. What followed, he says, was a direct encounter with the demonic—and a powerful demonstration of the authority in Jesus’ name.

During a recent interview with Charisma Media, Bock explained that his military background taught him how to build networks and investigate people operating along the fringes. That work eventually brought him into contact with prominent UFO disclosure advocate Steven Greer.

While staying at Greer’s home, Bock dreamed of a figure standing in a doorway offering him anything he wanted. When Bock attempted to reject the offer in Jesus’ name, the figure repeatedly warned him to “be careful.”

Bock forced himself awake, but the attack continued.

“Something jumped on me,” Bock said. “I could feel the pressure on my chest” and something covering his mouth.

For 10 to 15 seconds, Bock physically struggled to speak. He finally commanded the presence to leave in Jesus’ name.

“The pressure released,” he recalled.

Bock later experienced dreams involving a woman who transformed into a 12-foot, feline-like entity radiating hatred. In the dream, Bock stood his ground and declared, “You don’t scare me. You can’t touch me. You have no authority over me. I’m bought by the blood of Jesus.”

He later connected the figure with Greer’s claim that powerful entities surrounded and protected him.

When Something Answers Back

Bock does not share his experience to sensationalize the supernatural or condemn those involved in UFO research. He said he cares deeply about Greer and views him as someone Jesus died to save.

Yet love does not require silence when souls are entering dangerous spiritual territory.

For Bock, the disclosure movement is becoming a counterfeit religion built around entities offering knowledge, protection and purpose apart from God. These encounters may be real, but their supernatural nature does not make their messengers trustworthy.

“If you reach out, things will answer you back,” Bock warned.

Bock challenged us as Christians to develop spiritual discernment and stop treating demonic warfare as fantasy.

“We’ve got a bunch of Christians with strong thumbs and weak backs,” he said. “You’ve got to get serious about Christ and your mission and your co-mission.”

We must know Scripture well enough to test every supernatural claim, regardless of how advanced, enlightened or benevolent it sounds. The enemy disguises bondage as revelation, but he cannot withstand the authority of Christ.

The darkness confronting Bock released its grip when he spoke one name: Jesus. That same name remains our refuge, our authority and the only source of salvation.
