An Ohio elementary school that serves as an Election-Day polling location received a bomb threat Tuesday, causing staff and voters to be evacuated from the grounds.
Toledo police responded to a bomb threat against Beverly Elementary School around 10:39 a.m. local time, according to WTOL-TV.
Minutes later, another bomb threat was delivered by phone to Monac Elementary School, causing another evacuation.
Staff and voters were present, but students were off for the day. Law enforcement searched Monac Elementary but found nothing.
Around 12:15 p.m., Toledo Police cleared the site and allowed everyone back inside.
As for Beverly Elementary, the school was eventually reopened, and voting resumed as authorities continue to investigate.
It was still unclear whether the two threats were connected.
