Are the increased miraculous signs in the sky from the Lord or our adversary?
In a reaction video by Gabe Poirot, the Christian commentator broke down some of the most viral clips circulating social media of supernatural sightings taking place in the sky. While some may very well be valid, there is also a skepticism we should have about what may or may not be AI-generated.
Poirot first pointed to a video that went viral of a large, seemingly glowing image of Christ floating in the air outside of a church. First captured in Alabama on July 12, 2025, the footage sparked immediate awe.

Poirot was initially skeptical of these sightings, believing it was nothing more than artificial intelligence or video manipulation. But after investigating further, including reaching out to eyewitnesses and trusted sources, he came to a startling realization: this wasn’t an isolated case. Sightings of similar figures in the sky have been reported across the U.S.—from Texas to Kentucky—and even internationally, including a recent video out of the Philippines. These events, often accompanied by people singing praises or praying, are occurring near churches but not limited to any specific denomination or region.

In one video in particular, someone caught on camera what appears to be a person walking on the clouds.
“What is that?” a woman asks in the video. “That’s a person…we’re not supposed to see that.”
Other videos capture radiant rainbow and golden hues breaking through the clouds. These awe-inspiring visuals have left many wondering whether these are heavenly signs or something else entirely.
While many believe they are witnessing the glory of God, Poirot urges caution. “Just because something happens in the sky doesn’t automatically mean it’s from God,” he warns. Drawing from Romans 1:20, he reminds viewers that creation reveals God’s eternal power and divine nature, but also stresses the importance of using Scripture to discern the source of supernatural phenomena.
“Not every angel is one you want to follow,” he says, referencing 2 Corinthians 11:14, which describes Satan masquerading as an angel of light. As the veil between the spiritual and physical realms continues to thin, Poirot cautions believers to be discerning and anchored in the Word of God.

As sightings increase and interpretations vary, one truth remains central to the Poirot’s message: discernment is critical in these times. Signs in the sky may be awe-inspiring, but only the Word of God offers the lens through which to interpret them rightly.
