Prophetic Minister: The Place Believers Should Long to Inhabit

We are created to worship. It is the place where we are supposed to inhabit. People cry out for visitation, but we should long for habitation.

Visitation is where Jesus could visit us, or His presence can come upon us, but it won’t stay. Visitation is meant to come and go. We should long to dwell in habitation, where the presence of the Lord doesn’t leave. We don’t have to move out of the presence of God. We choose to leave the presence of God.

Worship is where we find peace and joy. When we worship the Lord, it seems as if all cares go away. Our focus should always be on worshipping our Father God, but the truth is when we worship, we take something away from it. What we can take away are peace, joy and hope.

Yes, there are times we worship and may feel broken or as if the Lord is dealing with us on an issue. However, even if He is correcting or convicting us, we still leave that time of worship more focused and with a sense of peace and direction.

We are in a season where I am hearing the Lord say to worship Him. He is calling His people back to worship. We have wandered and strayed from the very thing that lightens our load and brings glory to His name. We have walked away from that which we love: Him and worship.

I have consistently been hearing in the Spirit to worship and pray. I have also been amazed when I have talked to other people recently that they hear the same thing. I love it when God confirms His word and directions through several people. We know when He has His people in unison, He is about to do something mightily.

“Worship and pray” is what He is instructing, not only in this season, but in every part of our lives. It should be the essence of who we are. However, we leave that secret place and then wonder why we feel dry, stagnant and lifeless. Our light has died out because we didn’t keep feeding the flame with the power of prayer and worship. We have a choice. Every day is a decision. To what and whom are we going to submit? Are we going to live our lives surrounded by His presence, or are we going to walk away in busyness, ignorance or fear of what He will call us to do when we receive the instructions He gives us? Are we going to submit to fleshly sin, electronic addiction or workaholism, or are we going to submit to the living God and live in His presence?

We have to stop crying out for His presence and begin living in it. It is a choice. We cry out for something we already have. We can live in that place of habitation.

The question is, are you willing to invest the time to be in the presence, glory and habitation of the Father?
