A worshiping woman is a dangerous woman because she commands the notice of God.The woman in Luke 7 had overcome shame, guilt and people’s disapproval in order to have an audience with Jesus.
She was not intimidated, but rather her tragic past gave her even more cause to rejoice in His restoration. She who had been forgiven much poured out her love on the Master as no one else had.
Her reckless praise angered some, but it confirmed her deliverance and exposed the evil motives of those who were looking on as she worshiped God. Her sacrifice also won her a place of honor in biblical history.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, would that each of us could have a heart like the woman who worshiped You with complete freedom. Help us to put the hindrances aside and run to You in spite of any and every threat. May the longing of our hearts for You increase. Amen.
