Jonathan Cahn is encouraging believers to break free from spiritual stagnation and pursue a deeper, more expectant walk with God.
In a special message, Cahn unpacked the powerful meaning behind Jeremiah 33:3 through several Hebrew words that he says can transform a believer’s life if fully embraced.
“There’s always more to God,” Cahn said. “There’s more for you to find. There’s more.”
Teaching from the biblical promise, “Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know,” Cahn emphasized that believers often limit what God wants to do because they stop seeking Him with bold expectation.
“You’ll only have as much as you seek,” he said. “If you don’t seek, you don’t find. The Lord says, ‘Everyone who seeks finds.’”
Cahn explained that the Hebrew root associated with seeking God conveys the meaning of a bold encounter.
“Not only seek, but boldly encounter,” he said. “Lord, I’m going to seek You, and I’m not going to stop seeking You until I find something new.”
According to Cahn, God’s promise is not vague or uncertain.
“He’s not saying, ‘I might’ or ‘I could,’” Cahn said. “He said, ‘I will answer you.’”
Breaking down the Hebrew word “nagod,” Cahn explained that it means to reveal, manifest and show.
“God wants to manifest Himself,” he said. “Not just tell you something—manifest something in your life that you have not had, that you have not known.”

Cahn also focused on the Hebrew word “gadol,” meaning great, exceeding and higher.
“God wants you to seek more this year so He can show you more this year,” he said. “He wants to take you higher.”
He then pointed to another Hebrew word tied to Jeremiah 33:3, which he described as referring to hidden, fortified or inaccessible things.
“Call to Me, and I will show you things that are hidden, that are inaccessible, that are too high to get to,” Cahn said. “That which has been too inaccessible is now going to become accessible.”
Throughout the message, Cahn repeatedly urged believers not to settle into spiritual complacency.
“Many congregations and believers become dead because they stopped seeking what they don’t know,” he warned. “They’re content with what they do know.”
Instead, he challenged listeners to approach God with fresh hunger and openness.
“Never get to the point where you say, ‘I’ve heard it before,’” Cahn said. “With God, it’s always new.”
Cahn also stressed the importance of faith in receiving breakthrough.
“If you don’t believe you’re going to be free of something, you’re never going to be free,” he said. “Believe for greater things.”
Toward the end of the message, Cahn described God as “the God of surprises,” pointing to moments throughout Scripture where the Lord moved suddenly and unexpectedly—from Moses and the burning bush to the resurrection of Christ.
“God wants to surprise you this year,” Cahn declared. “He wants to show you what you don’t know, what you didn’t expect.”
As spiritual hunger rises across America and many believers search for fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit, Cahn’s message serves as both a challenge and an invitation: seek more, believe bigger and remain open for God to do “a new thing.”
