If we’re honest, all of us have seasons when we feel worn down. Life has a way of leaving us exhausted, discouraged and searching for something to steady our hearts. Rabbi Kirt Schneider believes the answer isn’t found in changing our circumstances, but in the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit within us.
Teaching from Ephesians 3, Schneider reminded us that although Jesus is seated at the Father’s right hand, the Holy Spirit is with us every day, strengthening those who belong to Christ from the inside out.
The Strength We Need Is Already Within Us
Schneider pointed to Paul’s prayer that believers would “be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,” emphasizing that God’s Spirit is the source of our endurance.
“The Spirit is our life,” Schneider said. “He’s inside us.”
No matter what battle we’re facing today, Schneider encouraged us to remember that we are not fighting alone.
“Greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world,” he said. “He has authority over everything and the one that is over all is inside us… ministering strength to us.”

Stop Looking Everywhere Else
Schneider also shared a deeply personal vision that changed his perspective on happiness. In the experience, after crying out to God, he heard these words:
“When you get strong then you’ll be happy.”
That truth, he said, reveals why so many of us come away empty after chasing temporary solutions.
“We’re trying to solve our pain by buying things, by controlling things… We’re trying to heal the pain we feel through the devil’s answers,” Schneider said. “The only thing that’s going to make you and I feel good is when we’re strong inside.”
Lean Into the Holy Spirit
As followers of Jesus, we know the pressures of this world are real. Spiritual battles are real. Heartache is real. Yet so is the promise that God has not left us to face them on our own.
“We will not find the happiness we’re looking for until we get strong on the inside,” Schneider said. “The Holy Spirit has been given to us… to make us strong from the inside out.”
Whatever season we’re walking through today, let’s remember that the Holy Spirit is still at work in us. As we lean into His presence instead of our circumstances, He faithfully strengthens our hearts, renews our hope and reminds us that the deepest joy is found not in what happens around us, but in the One who lives within us.
