During his recent Middle East tour, President Donald Trump was dubbed by some Saudi Arabian media outlets as “the true president of the world.”
The phrase, while likely intended to flatter a high-profile guest making billion-dollar business deals, is ringing far louder in the ears of Bible prophecy watchers such as the End Time Headlines podcast.
It’s not just the optics, it’s the convergence of key events, partnerships and statements that appear to echo warnings long written in Scripture about the end times.

Trump Lifts Sanctions on Syria
One of the more unsettling developments was Trump’s announcement that U.S. sanctions on Syria would end, claiming it would give the nation a “chance at greatness.” This can easily be seen as troubling by many, especially given Syria’s historic opposition to Israel and violent persecution of Christians.
As part of Trump’s new diplomacy, he was reportedly offered the opportunity to develop a “Trump Tower in Damascus,” a gift which could be strategic deception from Syrian leaders.
Even more prophetically significant is Trump’s meeting with Syria’s interim president Ahmed al-Shar, a former jihadist once affiliated with al-Qaeda. His name previously appeared on the U.S. terror watchlist. One headline in The Jerusalem Post even declared the handshake a symbol of a “new world order.”

Abraham Accords and the ‘Peace and Safety’ Warning
Trump used the trip to push for Saudi Arabia’s inclusion in the Abraham Accords, calling the initiative “a tremendous tribute.” He also invoked the phrase “peace and safety,” a chilling echo of 1 Thessalonians 5:3: “While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come on them suddenly…”
But perhaps this language isn’t accidental. These moves appear to lay the groundwork for what Daniel 9:27 describes as “a covenant with many,” a treaty the Antichrist will eventually confirm, not create.
Notably absent from Trump’s itinerary was Israel. He simply said, “Not this trip,” despite formal invitations from Israeli leadership. Media outlets have reported tension between Trump and Netanyahu over Gaza and Iran, raising questions about shifting alliances.
Business or Bible?
Trump’s trip has largely been characterized as a “business tour.” Barry Stagner, pastor and contributor to Behold Israel, noted that this wasn’t about faith, it was about finances.
Among the red flags was a $400 million private jet gifted to Trump by Qatar and his expanding business ties with Muslim nations. “These kinds of deals cloud discernment,” said Stagner, warning they could lead to misplaced trust and political compromise.
Despite his past support for Israel, Amir Tsarfati and Stagner pointed out that Trump’s recent moves may be placing him as an instrument in God’s unfolding end-times plan, particularly relating to the coming Third Temple and the Daniel 9:27 covenant.
Earthquake and Eternal Perspective
While Trump shook hands with world leaders, the ground itself shook beneath the Middle East.
A 6.3-magnitude earthquake in Greece sent tremors across central Israel. This event begs the question: is it just geology, or is it eschatology?
The ETH podcast referenced Luke 21:28: “When you begin to see all of these things coming to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” A verse all believers should take seriously considering the times in which we live.

A Final Word to the Church
This isn’t about labeling Trump. It’s about recognizing the signs of the times. The stage is being set for prophetic events the Bible describes in detail. Whether Trump is aware of it or not, he may be playing a major role in God’s sovereign plan.
Believers are urged not to get swept away by personalities or politics. Instead, spend time in the Word, pray for discernment and watch with spiritual eyes.
