Could the world be watching biblical prophecy unfold in real time?

That was the question explored during a recent episode of Daystar’s “Off the Record,” where Faith and Friction podcast hosts Jason McKay and Chichi Onyekanne joined the program for a sweeping conversation about red heifers, artificial intelligence, Israel and the return of Christ.

For McKay, one prophetic sign stands above the rest: the red heifer.

Referring to Numbers 19, McKay explained that the ashes of a spotless red heifer are required for ritual purification associated with temple worship. He described the red heifer as “the first domino” in a series of prophetic events that many believe must occur before the rise of the Antichrist and the tribulation.

McKay revealed that he personally accompanied the rabbis who inspected the red heifers in Texas and said five qualified animals were eventually transported to Israel.

“The red heifer is the first domino,” McKay said. “The only way they can get the temple and use the temple is to have a red heifer first.”

The conversation then turned to the long-anticipated third temple. According to McKay, preparations for a future temple are far more advanced than many Christians realize.

“The temple is already prefabricated right now,” he said. “I’ve heard they can set it up within seven days to be functional.”

Both men pointed to ongoing developments in the Middle East as evidence that conditions are aligning for major prophetic milestones. McKay argued that Iran remains one of the primary geopolitical obstacles to the rebuilding of a temple in Jerusalem.

Another topic drawing significant attention was artificial intelligence.

While rejecting the idea that AI is inherently evil, McKay suggested it could play a significant role in future prophetic events described in Revelation.

“I don’t think it’s evil by nature. I think it can be used for good, just like the internet,” McKay said. “But I do think that AI will be a major part of the book of Revelation.”

He went on to speculate that AI could relate to the “image of the beast” described in Revelation 13 because of its capacity for global surveillance and information processing.

The interview also addressed growing antisemitism worldwide. Onyekanne warned against conspiracy theories targeting Jewish people and emphasized the biblical importance of Israel.

“Paul made it extremely clear,” Onyekanne said, referencing Romans 11. “We’re not replacing them.”

Despite discussing tribulation, persecution and global upheaval, both men repeatedly returned to a message of hope.

“Prophecy isn’t meant to scare us; it’s meant to prepare us,” Onyekanne said. “We’re confident that we fight from victory and not for victory. We know how the story ends.”

For believers watching world events with increasing interest, that may be the most important takeaway: biblical prophecy ultimately points not to fear, but to the triumphant return of Jesus Christ.
