In a recent YouTube video, evangelist Perry Stone explores what he calls “America’s Babylonian-Antichrist Cipher,” a powerful prophetic warning about the spiritual forces at work in our world today.
Stone builds his analysis around Revelation 13, asserting that we are witnessing the rise of a modern Babylon, driven by dark spiritual influences over world governments and institutions. He explains, “The seven heads [in Revelation] are prophetic Empires that ruled… all the way from Egypt up to the last one, which is called the eighth Empire, ruling for 42 months,” which he identifies as the Antichrist Empire. According to Stone, this succession of empires and powers has now evolved into a powerful coalition aligning against God’s purposes.
Stone identifies this coalition, symbolized by the beast, as a “system,” or a collective of spiritual and earthly powers bound by rebellion against God. As he explains, each empire throughout history has been under the influence of a “prince spirit,” a demonic entity that “controls the governmental thinking of the leaders of that particular Empire.” Citing Daniel 10 and Ephesians 6:12, he emphasizes that there are spiritual rulers, or “principalities and Powers,” overseeing world systems. “Whether it be Russia… Iran, Iraq,” Stone says, “there is a chief spirit… behind these governments.”

One of the most telling points he makes is the resurgence of a “Babylonian spirit” in modern global conflicts, particularly in the Middle East. Stone sees a reformation of ancient Babylon, which he interprets as the region that includes modern-day Iraq, Iran, Syria and Lebanon. He argues that these areas, still plagued by violence and chaos, are the epicenters of this end-times power structure. Referencing Revelation 18:2, he warns that this region “has become the habitation of devils, the hold of every foul spirit.” This, he suggests, is not only a description of a future event but also an urgent reminder of current realities in the spiritual realm.
Connecting this to recent political shifts, Stone highlights how spiritual forces exert influence over global transitions and governmental changes. He points out, “Fallen angels and demonic powers in the invisible world… will begin to shift territories,” leading to volatility in governments and societies. This is especially evident in recent attacks on Israel and mounting anti-Israel sentiment worldwide, which he links to prophetic Scriptures about the Antichrist’s agenda.
As believers, we are not simply bystanders. The Bible calls us to discern these spiritual realities. We are in a war against a spiritual empire, an ancient system of rebellion. We must align ourselves with biblical truth, and discern the spiritual warfare taking place all around us. In a world where darkness seeks to overshadow the light, a Christian’s plan of attack should be obvious: We must be vigilant, discerning and grounded in Word of God.
As 1 Chronicles 12:32 states, we need to be like “the sons of Issachar, those having understanding of times and what Israel should do.”
