While many people are familiar with the concept that October is a time of the celebration of darkness, the reality of witches, warlocks and other co-laborers of the demonic is much greater than most of us perceive. During this time, we must understand the tactics of the enemy so we can fight the good fight of faith.
In her October prophetic word and instruction for this month, Katie Souza discussed a vision she had of what the Lord was talking to her about for this month.

“During this time is when the demonic is on the rampage and witches and warlocks are setting up altars and bringing their sacrifices to these altars to strengthen them so that they can curse the body of Christ,” Souza says.
One of the ways Souza believes the enemy will try to attack Christians this month is through accusations.
“I saw a gigantic being come down from the second heaven, and he came down into the courtroom of heaven and took his hand and pounded it on a prosecuting attorney’s table. When he put his hand down on the table, it reverberated in this vision, and it went ‘boom.’ And I was like, ‘What is this, Lord?’ and He said, ‘this spirit has come down to bring judgment at the prosecuting attorney’s table against the body of Christ, bringing accusations against them so that he will have the legal right to assault them.'”

So, who was this spirit that Souza saw in her vision?
“He gave me the name Sanballat,” Souza says.
Just as Sanballat was an enemy against Nehemiah and the Israelites while they worked on the repairs of the walls in Jerusalem, so too this spirit wants to come against the people of God.
“The spirit is rising up to come back to try to stop us from rebuilding the defensive wall around our house, our business, our physical bodies, our finances, our children, our families, our marriages,” Souza says. “He’s trying to stop us from seeing the full manifestation of the promises of God by coming down and bringing accusations against us. That’s what Sanballat did.”
Therefore, just as Nehemiah took a stand against Sanballat, sticking to the purpose of rebuilding the wall, we as Christians must also take a stand against the forces of darkness, knowing who we are in Christ Jesus.
