President Donald Trump urged supporters to help secure America’s future at a Mobile, Alabama, rally where Pastor Travis Johnson honored Jesus Christ and prayed for the church to wake up.
Trump pressed voters to support Republican candidates and pledged lasting action on issues involving children and women’s sports. Johnson brought a Christian call to action, asking God to stir pastors, believers and parents.
“In this election, I’m asking you to pretend that I’m on the ballot,” Trump said.
“So, just close your eyes and pretend I’m on the ballot. But in a way, I am on the ballot because we have to win.”
Faith, family and freedom
For Johnson, pastor of Pathway Church in Mobile, the gathering was an opportunity to celebrate faith and speak openly about Jesus.
“Is there anybody in this place that loves Jesus with all of your heart?” he asked, drawing cheers.
Johnson recalled telling a reporter after a White House visit, “Well, I think that faith is back in style, family is back in style, and freedom is back in style.”
He praised Trump as “a real champion for freedom and for family and faith in America.”
Then he invited the crowd to honor the One at the center of his faith.
“Let’s honor Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of all lords,” Johnson said.

Protecting children and parents
Trump pointed to his administration’s actions involving schools and gender ideology.
“We got critical race theory and transgender insanity out of our schools immediately,” he said.
He pledged to seek permanent legislation restricting transgender procedures for children and barring male athletes from women’s sports. Trump described the principles behind those proposals simply: “It’s called common sense.”
His push for legislation came with a direct reminder to supporters: “But you must get out and vote.”
Johnson’s prayer highlighted the importance of children, families and freedom to live out our faith. He thanked God “for protecting our daughters, our children, and the rights of parents.”
“Thank You, Lord, in America for religious liberty defended and for all that You’ve done,” he prayed.
Johnson also asked God to protect Trump and his family.
“Give him wisdom, courage, and godly counsel,” he prayed.
‘Wake up Your church’
Johnson’s prayer reached beyond political victories to the need for people to know Christ.
“Fill this place with Your Holy Spirit and draw every man, woman, boy, and girl to Your crucified, buried, and resurrected Son, Jesus Christ,” he prayed.
He also asked God to move His people to action.
“Father, would You wake up Your church?”
Johnson followed that appeal with a specific prayer for participation in elections.
“Help us to vote in every single election, every single time. Not some of the times, Lord, but all of the times.”
