In a post on X, the pontiff called once again for peace and disarmament.

As Charisma previously reported, Pope Leo’s renewed emphasis on nuclear disarmament comes amid a broader Vatican effort to address what church leaders see as some of humanity’s greatest emerging threats. Just days before these latest remarks, the Vatican convened world leaders, Nobel laureates, scientists and technology experts for a high-profile summit focused on the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
Whether addressing artificial intelligence, nuclear weapons or the responsibilities of world leaders, Pope Leo’s message has remained remarkably consistent. We must now wait and see how the rest of the world will respond to this view from one of the world’s most recognizable leaders.
