As Americans head to the polls, Muslim political organizations and religious leaders are making a major push to influence two critical Senate races, with Texas Democrat James Talarico and Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed drawing particular attention.

According to Breitbart News, Muslim leaders are urging their communities to turn out in force, framing the election not simply as a political responsibility but as a religious obligation.

Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian who has sparked controversy among conservative believers, has received an endorsement from the Muslim American Caucus PAC, according to its candidate endorsement listing reported by Blue Voter Guide.

The endorsement raises questions about the political alliances forming around Talarico, particularly as he continues to use Scripture and Christian teachings to advance his political message.

Meanwhile, Texas-based Muslim religious leader Yasir Qadhi has urged Muslim voters to make their voices heard.

“It is our ethnic duty, it is our civic duty, it is our religious duty to go and support those candidates and choose those that represent the best of our interests,” Qadhi said in an Oct. 29 post on X, according to Breitbart.

Qadhi also emphasized voting for the ummah, referring to the worldwide Muslim community, while highlighting the importance of elections in Texas and Michigan.

In Michigan, El-Sayed’s campaign has drawn enthusiasm from Muslim political activists. Breitbart cited commentator Wajahat Ali, who warned of a potential reckoning within the Democratic Party if El-Sayed loses, particularly concerning the party’s relationship with pro-Israel voters.

For Christians, these developments remind us that elections are about more than political parties and individual candidates. The leaders Americans elect help shape policies that affect every part of life, and whether the biblical values long upheld by America will continue to be on display in the public sector.
