Sen. Lindsey Graham made headlines following his decisive primary victory in South Carolina. Still, it wasn’t his political remarks that immediately captured attention—it was the order of his thank-yous.
Standing before a cheering crowd, Graham opened his victory speech with a declaration that drew both laughter and applause.
“Thank y’all. We won,” Graham said as supporters celebrated the outcome.
“I want to thank the big guy,” Graham continues. “Uh, God. Trump comes later.“
The crowd erupted in laughter before Graham continued, adding, “Mr. President, you’re not far behind God, but we’re going to start with Him.”
He told supporters that the election result represented more than a personal victory.
“What I’m most proud of is that South Carolina validated what I’ve been doing for our state—who I am and what I believe and what I stand for,” Graham said.

Graham then shifted his focus to President Donald Trump, whom he credited with playing a critical role in the race.
“I want to start with President Donald J. Trump,” Graham said. “I just talked to him, so I know he’s watching.”
According to Graham, Trump’s endorsement proved to be a turning point in the campaign.
“Mr. President, when you endorsed me early on, it changed everything,” he said. “You’re the gold standard in the Republican world. The most consequential endorsement, I think, in the history of politics.”
Looking ahead, Graham vowed to continue supporting the president’s agenda upon his return to Washington.
“President Trump, I’m coming back to the Senate in ’27,” Graham declared. “I’m going to win in November. I’m going to help you change this world and change this country.”
