Daystar is taking time to mourn and honor the legacy of co-founder and president, Joni Lamb.
In a Facebook post, Daystar shared a tribute in which flags at the Daystar headquarters were lowered to half-staff in honor of Lamb. The media organization wrote:
We pause to honor the life and legacy of Joni Lamb.
Our world is different this week, missing Joni Lamb and all the joy, wisdom, and passion she brought to our lives. Her heart was for souls. Her vision was for the nations. Through Daystar, the Gospel reached homes, hospital rooms, prisons, and hearts across the world.
But in the midst of our grief, we are here continuing the work she loved so much. We know she would remind us, “There is so much more to do!” Though the flags fly at half-mast, the mission she carried continues… today, tomorrow, until every soul has been reached with the love of Jesus.
Her legacy lives on in every life transformed.
Lamb passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the age of 65. She is being remembered now by ministry leaders, friends and family members for her worldwide contribution to helping the spread of the gospel.
