Kerry Washington, the “fixer” who plays the star role as Olivia Pope in Shonda Rhimes’ hit series Scandal, knows she’s blessed.
“[Motherhood is] wonderful. We just continue to feel very blessed,” Washington told People magazine.
Washington is open about her faith. In an Essence magazine article last year, she said she believes in surrendering her life over to her Creator.
“I feel as if my relationship with God is the most important thing in my life,” she said. “If I can get that relationship right, it helps me to understand how to negotiate every other relationship.”
