President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is sending a clear message about its plans for Gaza: It is not backing down.
According to The Jerusalem Post, a source within the Board of Peace told i24News diplomatic correspondent Guy Azriel that efforts to advance Trump’s Gaza peace roadmap are continuing despite Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Hamas and the country’s approaching elections.
“We are not stepping back,” the source said.
While much of the board’s work has remained outside the public spotlight, the source suggested that silence should not be mistaken for inaction. With Israel’s elections approaching, however, timing appears to be a major consideration.
“We are being strategic about when we do certain things, when we say certain things,” the source told Azriel, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Trump’s broader plan seeks a dramatic transformation of postwar Gaza, including the establishment of a Palestinian technocratic administration, the demilitarization of Hamas and an eventual transfer of governing authority.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel is continuing military operations against Hamas, targeting weapons, infrastructure and production facilities. A senior Israeli security source told Azriel that the terrorist organization is facing increasing military pressure.
In a region where peace agreements can turn on a single decision, the next moves from Israel, Hamas and Trump’s Board of Peace could prove critical for what comes next.
