Sid Roth is sounding the alarm about what he believes is coming next, and according to the longtime It’s Supernatural! host, the church must be prepared for both extraordinary deception and an extraordinary move of God.
“The next thing we’re going to be dealing with on planet Earth is a spirit of deception like the world has never seen before,” Roth warned in a recent video.
However, Roth’s message was not one of fear. Instead, he believes this unprecedented spiritual deception is colliding with something far greater: what he describes as the fifth major move of God’s Spirit that he has witnessed during his lifetime.
“I have lived through four major moves of God’s Spirit, and we’re about ready to enter the fifth move of God’s Spirit that I’m alive for,” Roth said, calling it “the most important move of God’s Spirit, perhaps the last move of God’s Spirit.”
For Roth, the warning about deception is intensely personal.
Before coming to faith in Jesus, Roth became involved in New Age meditation while searching for something more than worldly success could offer. What initially appeared harmless, he says, eventually opened the door to severe spiritual oppression. Roth recalled becoming terrified to sleep as he became involved in what he described as astral projection.
That experience now shapes his warning to Christians.

“If you haven’t had your own experiential knowledge with God, you may not stand,” Roth said. “Now is the time to have your experiential knowledge with God.”
Roth later doubled down, describing what he believes is approaching as “the greatest period of deception for Christians the world has ever known.” Yet he sees the supernatural presence of God—not panic—as heaven’s answer to that deception.
Roth also connected this coming move with Israel. Citing Isaiah 46:13, he pointed to God’s glory for Israel and said he believes the approaching fifth move will carry worldwide implications.
His comments come after a recent outreach to Jewish people in Toronto, where Roth says he experienced God’s presence in a way unlike anything he had encountered before speaking.
“This was beyond what I have felt,” he recalled, describing it as an overwhelming sense of peace.
In an age flooded with counterfeit spirituality, New Age practices and competing voices claiming to possess truth, discernment cannot be optional. If an even greater move of God is approaching, the church must know the difference between what merely looks supernatural and the genuine presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
