America may be standing at the edge of a prophetic turning point, and Amanda Grace says the pattern has been building for centuries.
During a recent livestream, Grace laid out what she believes is an approximately 80-year cycle woven through American history, repeatedly bringing the nation to moments of crisis, conflict and ultimately what she calls a “hard reset.”
“We are at a dangerous and critical point in this nation,” Grace said. “Each of these 80-year cycles has ended in a crisis and a hard reset.”
But Grace did not begin her argument with American history. She went back to Exodus.
Grace pointed to Moses, who was 80 years old when God called him to confront Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egyptian bondage. According to Grace, Egypt had reached a crisis point that would completely alter the balance of power while simultaneously bringing Israel into a new season.
She sees a striking parallel with President Donald Trump.

Trump, born June 14, 1946, turned 80 this year. Grace noted that 1946 also marked the period surrounding the conclusion of the Nuremberg trials following World War II.
“Exactly 80 years after 1946, we come into 2026,” Grace said.
Grace traced the pattern through major moments in American history, including the upheaval preceding the American Revolution, the Civil War and World War II. While the intervals are not always precisely 80 years, she argued that the country repeatedly approaches profound national upheaval around that generational marker.
Now, she believes America has arrived there again.
“We are here at the precipice of the crisis point and the 80-year marker again,” Grace said.
Grace also connected Trump’s repeated declaration of an American “golden age” with the biblical imagery of refinement. Gold does not become pure without intense heat, she noted, pointing to Scripture’s imagery of the furnace and the refining process.
“If America has entered its golden age, that means we have entered an intense refining process,” she said.
That refinement, in Grace’s view, could mean exposure, pruning and upheaval before restoration.
Her warning stretches beyond America.
“We’re about to see a shuffling of nations within the earth,” Grace said, arguing that changes could be coming to global leadership and the world’s power structure.
Grace believes the period surrounding the midterm elections and the approaching two-year mark of Trump’s presidency deserves particular prayer.
“We are at one of the most critical hours … that we have ever been at in this nation,” she said.
If America truly is entering another season of shaking and refinement, the church’s assignment is not panic. It is prayer, repentance, discernment and unwavering allegiance to God.
