An Israeli archaeologist who once lost her faith while digging through the biblical world now says the very land she excavated helped point her back to the God of the Bible—and toward a stunning prophetic reality surrounding the Feast of Trumpets.
Appearing on It’s Supernatural! with Sid Roth, Israeli archaeologist and Jewish Christian Jennifer Guetta described a journey that took her from excavating Megiddo, the biblical location associated with Armageddon, into complete atheism before a terrifying supernatural encounter radically changed her perspective.
Guetta said that while working in archaeology, including excavations connected to Tel Aviv University, she became immersed in a skeptical approach to Scripture.
“I lost my faith at the university,” Guetta said. “I lost my faith there, became an atheist completely.”
But archaeology wasn’t the end of her story.
Guetta said everything changed after her family encountered what she describes as intense demonic activity connected to someone involved in Kabbalah. Desperate for freedom, Guetta says her family eventually called upon the name of Jesus.
“We called upon Him in the middle of the night, and then all of heaven came down,” she said, describing dreams and visions of Jesus that followed.
That encounter radically altered the lens through which Guetta viewed not only archaeology but also biblical prophecy.
After more than 25 years in archaeology, Guetta says the biblical feasts have become especially significant to her understanding of God’s prophetic timeline. She argues that Scripture presents patterns that repeatedly return, with God’s appointed times carrying significance in the past, present and future.

And that’s where things become especially intriguing.
Guetta pointed to archaeological evidence uncovered across Israel, including finds associated with King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah. She said archaeologists have identified more than 100 biblical names through discoveries spanning different periods.
“The exact names already show how real the Bible is and how people can have hope,” Guetta said.
Yet one biblical appointment stands out to her prophetically: the Feast of Trumpets.
Guetta believes the feast carries enormous significance for Christians because she sees it as pointing to Jesus’ future return. The blowing of the shofar, she explained, represents an announcement that the King is coming—and a wake-up call for God’s people.
“At the Feast of Trumpets, we blow the shofar to wake up the bride of Christ and also Israel to arise,” Guetta said.
For Guetta, the stones coming out of Israel’s soil aren’t merely relics of something God did thousands of years ago. They are reminders that the God who moved in biblical history is still moving, and that the prophetic clock has not stopped ticking.
The shofar is sounding. Israel is back in its land. And for believers watching the biblical signs unfolding around them, Guetta’s message is simple: Be awake, be ready and keep your eyes on the coming King.
