Could one of the greatest betrayals coming to America actually become the very thing God uses to position the nation for what comes next?

In a prophetic word released Aug. 25, Amanda Grace pointed to the biblical account of Joseph in Genesis 37 as a prophetic blueprint she believes is significant for America between the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election.

Grace says the key is found in something Joseph could never have understood while sitting at the bottom of the pit: His betrayal was also his positioning.

“The pit becomes the pathway,” Grace said. “It appears dark. It appears to be a setback. It appears as for a moment it will stop Joseph’s life from continuing. However, it is a setup.”

Joseph’s brothers despised him, conspired against him and ultimately sold him to Ishmaelite traders. Yet the very transaction meant to remove Joseph from the picture eventually brought him to Egypt—where God would elevate him to extraordinary authority.

Grace believes America could soon witness a similar pattern.

“You will see betrayal go out in this time in the last two years of the Trump presidency, and it will be shocking,” Grace warned. “However, the corrupt route of betrayal in this nation shall catapult into position who God has called to lead.”

Grace specifically connected Genesis 37:26-28, where Judah proposes selling Joseph, with the period from 2026 through 2028. She warned that political deals and betrayals could emerge from unexpected places—including from within the conservative movement itself.

Yet Grace’s message was not ultimately one of defeat.

Joseph went from his father’s house to the pit, from the pit into slavery, from slavery into Potiphar’s house and from there into prison. Every step appeared to move him farther away from his God-given dream.

Instead, every step moved him closer.

“The brothers thought they were sending Joseph away. God was sending Joseph ahead of them,” Grace said.

Grace also issued another striking prediction for the coming political season. Drawing a parallel with Potiphar’s wife, who falsely accused Joseph after he rejected her advances, Grace said she believes a female figure will arise between 2026 and 2028 who will attempt to derail what God is doing.

However, the heart of Grace’s message reaches beyond Washington.

Joseph’s brothers could strip away his coat. They could throw him into the pit. They could sell him. They could lie about what happened.

What they could not do was cancel his dream.

“The dream isn’t dependent upon their cooperation,” Grace said. “God gave the dream.”

For believers watching a turbulent political landscape, that may be the greater message hidden in Genesis 37: What looks like the pit may be the pathway to the palace, and betrayal may be the unexpected vehicle God uses to advance His purposes for the hour.
