Author and prophetic voice Amanda Grace believes the years leading up to the 2028 presidential election carry unusual spiritual significance—and she says the church must understand what it is seeing before the next major shift arrives.
During a recent interview with Charisma founder Stephen Strang on the Strang Report podcast, Grace outlined five prophetic signs she believes are converging across the Jewish calendar, American politics and global events. She said the pattern began coming into focus in 2025 and appears to extend through the end of 2028.
Here are the five signs Grace says believers should be watching:
1. The 2025 Purim Blood Moon
Grace pointed first to a blood moon occurring around Purim in 2025.
Purim commemorates the biblical account in the book of Esther, when a plan to destroy the Jewish people was dramatically overturned. Grace sees the timing of the blood moon as symbolically connected to themes of hidden plots, wicked decrees and divine reversal.
For her, this marked the beginning of a larger prophetic sequence rather than an isolated astronomical event.
2. The 2026 Purim Blood Moon
The second sign is another blood moon associated with Purim in 2026.
Grace emphasized that two consecutive Purim seasons marked by blood moons deserve spiritual attention. She connected Purim to ancient Persia—modern-day Iran—and argued that the timing may carry implications for escalating tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
She believes the repeating pattern reinforces the Esther theme: an enemy rises, destructive plans are formed, but God intervenes on behalf of His people.
3. The 2027 Jewish Leap Year and Double Purim
Grace identified 2027 as the third sign because it is a Jewish leap year, sometimes described as a “pregnant year.”
The Hebrew calendar adds an additional month during a leap year, creating Adar I and Adar II. This results in Purim Katan, or “Little Purim,” followed by the regular observance of Purim.

After two years of Purim blood moons, Grace believes a year containing two Purim observances signals multiplication, acceleration and the potential birthing of events that have been developing beneath the surface.
4. America’s 2028 Election and the Shemitah Year
The fourth sign involves the 2028 U.S. presidential election converging with the beginning of a Shemitah year in September.
A Shemitah occurs every seven years on the biblical calendar. Grace noted that major financial, political and global disruptions have sometimes coincided with Shemitah years, including the 2008 financial crisis and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
She believes the convergence of a pivotal election and the Shemitah cycle could make 2028 a consequential year for America economically, politically and spiritually.
5. The Blood Moon Closing 2028
The fifth sign is a blood moon, Grace says, will mark the close of 2028 and extend into the first day of 2029.
In her view, this final lunar marker completes the sequence that began with the 2025 Purim blood moon. She sees the progression—blood moon, blood moon, double Purim, election and Shemitah, then another blood moon—as a prophetic timeline believers should prayerfully examine.
Grace does not present the signs as a reason for Christians to panic. Instead, she says they should motivate the church to prepare.
“The watchmen are supposed to see what’s coming before it ever approaches,” Grace said.
She urged believers to deepen their relationship with God, study Scripture daily and pray with greater precision. Grace said the church can no longer remain spiritually passive while political conflicts, cultural instability and global tensions intensify.
She also connected America’s 250th anniversary to the rebellion of Korah in Numbers 16, where 250 leaders rose against Moses. Grace believes that the biblical account offers a sobering warning about rebellion, resistance to authority and the spiritual forces that can operate behind national upheaval.
Headlines may shake nations. Elections may reshape governments. Financial systems may tremble. But Grace insists that Christians rooted in God’s Word should not be caught unaware or overcome by fear.
“When these seasons shift and change, and these things happen, and the world shakes, we should not be shaking,” she said.
These five signs are a call to watch, pray and prepare—trusting that no matter what unfolds, God remains firmly on the throne.
