‘Jesus Just Freed You’: Kathryn Krick Shares Powerful Deliverance Moment at Book Signing

A powerful moment unfolded during one of Kathryn Krick’s recent book signing events when a young man stepped forward seeking prayer after sharing a deeply personal battle with mental torment.

Before Krick began praying, the young man candidly described what he had been experiencing.

“The devil’s been having a heyday in my brain.”

His brief but vulnerable admission set the stage for what became a moving public moment of prayer, deliverance and encouragement.

Speaking before those gathered at the event, Krick immediately began praying with authority, declaring freedom over his life in the name of Jesus Christ.

“I declare every witchcraft broken over you,” she prayed.

She then addressed the spiritual oppression she believed was behind his struggle.

“I declare every spirit of fear must go. And I declare every spirit tormenting you—tormenting you in the mind, pulling you to the things of the world—you must go now in Jesus’ name.”

After commanding the oppressive spirits to leave, Krick simply declared, “Be free.”

Moments later, after a visible shift of freedom and a smile began to creep across the young man’s face, Krick looked at him and proclaimed, “Jesus just freed you.”

The atmosphere quickly shifted from spiritual warfare to celebration as those gathered rejoiced in what they saw God do. The young man, visibly emotional, repeatedly thanked Krick for praying with him.

“Thank you so much,” he said.

Rather than ending the encounter there, Krick prophesied words of encouragement over his future, emphasizing that God’s purpose extended far beyond that single moment of freedom.

“You have a powerful calling on your life,” she told him. “You will serve God so powerfully now.”

She continued by praying that the Holy Spirit would fill him and empower him for what lay ahead.

“May God fill you, and may He move through you mightily. May peace and joy be your portion every day.”

The young man once again expressed his gratitude, prompting Krick to remind him that the encounter pointed not to herself but to the Lord.

“This is God’s love for you,” she said.

Throughout the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly demonstrated His authority over demonic oppression, fear and spiritual bondage, setting captives free and restoring lives. Moments like this are more than emotional testimonies—they are reminders that Jesus Christ has not changed. The same Savior who opened blind eyes, cast out demons and restored broken lives throughout the Gospels is still revealing His power today.

In a generation battling unprecedented levels of anxiety, fear and mental oppression, this testimony serves as a powerful reminder that Christ still invites the weary to come to Him. No chain is too strong, no mind too tormented, and no life too far gone for the redeeming power of God.

The same Jesus who set captives free 2,000 years ago is still calling people out of darkness and into His marvelous light—and for those willing to surrender everything to Him, freedom is not just a promise of eternity. It is a reality that can begin today.
