After President Donald Trump recently made comments about how he does not see himself as “heaven-bound,” people have been concerned about his salvation in Christ. Now, the people in his inner circle are speaking up about his faith.
According to The Christian Post, White House Faith Office Director Jenny Korn discussed Trump’s beliefs at the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference which took place at the Museum of the Bible.

“The president has his own language, and I look at it, and I know his language, it was humility,” Korn said of Trump’s comments about heaven. According to Korn, Trump has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior.
“I have the honor of knowing him now for almost 10 years,” Korn stated. “I’ve been in the Oval Office with the cameras and without the cameras…those pictures that you see of the president praying in the Oval Office with many pastors around him, it’s real.”
She further described the president as having a humble heart, inviting prayer for himself and all around the White House.
“On camera or off camera, the president welcomes hands-on and welcomes prayer…it’s in his heart, and this is who he is,” Korn said. “There’s been prayer in the Oval Office, in the Roosevelt Room, in the East Room, in the Residence, on the grounds, in every part of the White House inside and out.”
The Christian Post further noted that Trump’s son, Eric, also claims that his dad is “saving God” and “saving Christianity” through his role in the White House.
“Make no mistake, he is heaven-bound,” Eric said on “The Benny Show.” “He’s probably too humble in a certain way to say that.”
Eric Trump further described seeing how God’s hand has been upon his father in extraordinary ways, which he sees as a sign of his father on the track for heaven.
In a speech, Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. told Trump, “You didn’t believe you were going to get into heaven. You are doing God’s work here. You’ve made peace in the Middle East, which is beyond anyone’s imagination. And now you’re giving millions of Americans the chance to have babies…”

While doing good works and receiving prayer from others is commendable, it is important to remember that salvation only comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. No amount of money, good deeds or kindness can get any of us into heaven. Just like us, the president doesn’t have to put the pressure on himself to do enough to get into heaven. The only thing that is required is repentance of sin and a turning to Christ as Lord and Savior.
As we reflect on President Trump’s journey, let us pray that if he has not already, he can fully embrace the gift of salvation Christ purchased on the cross, without feeling the weight of having to earn it through works or accomplishments.
