Chipotle’s latest Halloween marketing campaign may be designed to sell burritos and margaritas. Still, prophetic voice Amanda Grace says Christians should be paying attention to something far more serious lurking behind the imagery.

The restaurant chain recently unveiled its “Summon the Spirits Tour,” an October campaign tied to the return of its margaritas and its annual Halloween promotion, ‘Boorito.’ According to Chipotle’s announcement, the tour includes stops in Denver, Brooklyn, Dallas, Los Angeles and New Orleans, leaning heavily into supernatural and Halloween-inspired themes.

But Grace says believers should not simply laugh off occult imagery as clever seasonal marketing.

“What Chipotle is doing, it is demonic. It is downright dangerous. It is spiritually reckless,” Grace warned in a recent message.

Grace specifically pointed to imagery associated with Ouija boards, crystal balls and the occult, arguing that seemingly playful marketing can help make spiritually dangerous practices appear harmless.

“This is the enemy’s way of trying to get the masses more comfortable and accepting of the dark arts,” Grace said.

For Grace, the issue goes beyond one restaurant chain or one Halloween campaign. She believes Americans are witnessing an increased normalization of witchcraft, occult practices and demonic imagery throughout popular culture.

“They think this is a cutesy little marketing campaign that they’ve put out right before the end of October,” she said, arguing instead that such imagery can have serious spiritual implications.

Grace further described the campaign as part of what she sees as a battle for the next generation’s hearts and minds.

“This is all about grooming. This is all about programming,” she said. “This is all about getting people comfortable with imagery of the kingdom of darkness, of the demonic and of the dark arts.”

Scripture does not treat witchcraft, divination or attempts to communicate with spirits as innocent entertainment. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 explicitly warns God’s people against sorcery, divination and consulting with the dead.

Grace’s prescription for believers is therefore not fear, but discernment.

“Be in the Word of God every single day,” she urged. “Have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit has to say. Keep the faith.”
