Martha was doing good work.
She was serving Jesus. Preparing the house. Handling the logistics nobody else wanted to handle. By every standard we measure leaders, she was the responsible one in the room. And Jesus gently corrected her anyway.
Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
He did not say her work was wrong. He said she was troubled about many things and had missed the one.

It’s Saturday. The week is behind you, and most of it was Martha’s work. Email, logistics, fires, output. Good work. Necessary work. And it has a way of crowding out the one thing that actually holds you together.
Here’s what I keep relearning. The people in front of me will remember my presence long after they forget my productivity. My kids do not need a manager. They need a father who is actually there, not just physically in the chair while his mind runs the brand.
Many things will always be available. One thing has to be chosen.
So choose it today. Close the laptop. Be where your feet are.
