Jon Tyson, pastor of the Church of the City New York, says the American church has an unhealthy obsession with “winning” ministry. Tyson points out that Jesus commissioned the 72 to cast out demons and heal the sick—but despite their success, Jesus subtly rebuked them. Tyson submits it’s the same rebuke Jesus might give many Christian leaders today.
