“I can hear. I can hear.”
Those were the stunned words of a young woman who says something extraordinary happened during Sean Feucht’s Let Us Worship event: After living with partial deafness in her left ear for as long as she could remember, she suddenly could hear.
And perhaps the most remarkable part is that she wasn’t even expecting the prayer to be for her.
The moment unfolded amid an atmosphere of worship, prayer and a passionate call for people to return to Jesus.
“Maybe at one time you were, but if you were to be honest, you were far from Him tonight,” the crowd was told. “You don’t even know how you wound up at this worship rally.”
Then came a reminder straight from the heart of the gospel: God still goes after the one.
“God left the 99 to go after the one,” the message continued, urging those listening not to harden their hearts but to respond to Christ.

Then the focus shifted to healing.
According to the woman’s testimony, partial deafness in someone’s left ear was specifically called out. Yet she didn’t immediately recognize that the word could be for her.
“I didn’t realize she was talking about me because I was just so used to it,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh, it’s somebody else.’”
But after prayer, everything changed.
“It felt like something, like, opened up,” she said.
Suddenly, sounds that had been muted became clear. Overwhelmed by what she was experiencing, she began shaking and turned toward her best friend.
“I can hear. I can hear,” she remembered saying.
When asked how long she had dealt with the hearing problem, her answer made the testimony even more striking.
“As long as I remember.”
For her, the moment became more than simply hearing the sounds around her. When worship began again, she experienced something she says she had never experienced before: worshipping while hearing through both ears.

Sometimes we become so accustomed to the broken places that we stop imagining they could ever change. This young woman admitted she was so used to her hearing impairment that when someone called out her exact condition, she assumed the prayer belonged to somebody else.

Scripture declares in Hebrews 13:8 that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
The God who sees the one still sees you. So pray again. Believe again. And never stop making room for God to do what only He can do.
