Most of our battles begin in our minds. That is why it is so important to protect our minds with the helmet of salvation. God wants you to learn how to take every thought captive and bring it to the obedience of Christ.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Cor. 10:4-5).
The enemy will always try to get you to think and worry about the negative things in your life. But God tells you in His Word to think about and meditate only on those things that are pure, true, noble, just, lovely and praise-worthy (Phil. 4:18).
You probably fight this battle every day—negative thoughts challenging positive thoughts. To win this battle, you need to renew your mind to the Word of God.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God,” (Rom. 12:2).
God wants us to live a transformed life, but we have to learn to align our thoughts, words and actions with the Bible. The result? Instead of you fearfully backing down from the challenge, the challenge will back down from you!
Tiz loves to tell people “Change your thinking and you will change your life!”
Each day when you pray, make it a point to cover your mind with the helmet of salvation. Receive the mind of Christ with all wisdom, knowledge, faith and understanding! As you change the way you think, you will see my life change for the better every day. See your life, health, finances, and circumstances through the eyes and watch His blessings and miracles begin to flow!
All Things Work for Your Good
Next to John 3:16, our favorite scripture in the Bible is Romans 8:28: “We know that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”
Tiz and I know, through more than 45 years of serving God together, that the Lord will take what the enemy has meant for evil and use it for our good. No matter what obstacle or attack we’re facing, we must continue to walk by faith, keep our attitude positive and continue to fulfill God’s purpose. God will always bring unexpected blessings and miracle breakthroughs. We just need to keep our eyes on Him and not the circumstances. Even when circumstances are difficult or unresolved for periods of time, we can always find peace and victory in knowing that God will cause ALL things to work together for the good!
Take Up Your Shield of Faith
Ephesians 6:16 tells us, “Above all, take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”
You’ll discover that the shield of faith will not only protect you personally, but when you join with like-minded believers, it will protect families, neighborhoods, cities and even nations!
Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing God’s Word. When you saturate yourself in God’s Word, your faith will be able to quench every fiery dart of the enemy or the world!
No matter what you are facing in your life, determine to stay in a mindset of positive faith in the Lord and His promises! Give Him all praise because we know that all things work together for our good. Thank Him for His protection against all the fiery darts of the enemy. Receive His strengthening in your faith through all the promises in the Word of God and expect the best because our God is a miracle working God and nothing is impossible for Him.
