How should Christians be on guard during the rest of the month?
In her new prophetic word for March 2025, author Katie Souza is sounding the alarm on what believers should be on the lookout for in the coming days.

In this warning, Souza reveals that the enemy has been releasing “death contracts” against believers who are advancing God’s kingdom. These death contracts, she explains, are a strategic attack from demonic forces aiming to halt the progress of God’s work on Earth, especially for those who are building defensively in faith, just as Nehemiah did while rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.
She likens this season to the story of Nehemiah, who built the city’s walls with one hand while holding a weapon in the other. She reminds believers that the enemy is fiercely trying to undermine the work of those who are fighting to close the gaps in their lives and ministries, just as Nehemiah was protecting Jerusalem from outside threats. For believers today, this means identifying and closing the spiritual gaps that allow the enemy to access their lives, families and ministries.
“We’ve been in repentance, we’ve been in fasting, we’re trying to close the gaps, we’re asking the Lord to show us what are the landing strips in our life, what are the open areas that the enemy is still using to get access to us,” Souza remarks.
She warns that the enemy’s response to this righteous pursuit is fury. She shares her own personal testimony, recounting a recent car accident that was more than just a collision—it was a death contract executed against her life. Through discernment and prayer, Souza recognized the attack as a demonic assignment and stood in spiritual authority, declaring victory over the spirit of death.
Just as Souza declared victory over her life, she emphasizes that these death contracts can be annulled in the courts of heaven. Like the persistent widow in Luke 18, believers have the right to bring the spirit of death before the Lord, seeking justice and declaring the invalidation of these contracts. The key to this is standing firm in faith and using the authority given by Christ, who has already defeated the power of death through His own sacrifice on the cross.
Perhaps one of the greatest spiritual dangers that believers must be wary of during this month is speaking negatively of others. Souza warns that when we do so, it opens the door for the enemy to strike against us with death contracts. Instead, speaking life and blessing others at this time is critical.
