Jonathan Cahn is sounding the alarm about America’s future, and his warning goes far beyond what happens at the ballot box.

With the 2026 midterm elections approaching, the New York Times bestselling author and prophetic voice says the United States has reached a critical point in what he describes as a limited “window” for the nation to return to God.

And if America misses it, Cahn warns the consequences could be devastating.

“We have now come to the midpoint of this window,” Cahn said in a recent message. “And there’s been no national turning. There are pockets of people in revival … but there’s been no massive national turning.”

Cahn connects this warning to President Donald Trump and the biblical King Jehu.

According to Cahn, Jehu was used by God to confront wickedness in ancient Israel, just as he believes Trump has been used to push back against abortion, gender ideology and other anti-biblical agendas in America.

But Cahn pointed to a sobering detail in Jehu’s story.

“Jehu was a mix. Trump is a mix,” Cahn said. “One can be used of God without walking with God with all one’s heart.”

Political victories may restrain darkness, but they cannot transform the human heart. Cahn warns that unless America undergoes genuine spiritual transformation, today’s political victories could disappear quickly tomorrow.

“If we change the government, but we don’t change people, the unchanged people are going to change the government back,” Cahn said.

“If we turn laws, but we don’t turn hearts, the unturned hearts are going to turn the laws back again.”

Cahn believes a shift in congressional control could represent “the beginning of the closing of that window,” particularly as socialism gains traction among younger Americans and antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment continue spreading.

Yet Cahn’s message is not to abandon politics. He urged Christians to vote, stand for biblical truth and influence the culture. However, he emphasizes that voting is not enough.

“The only thing that can save America is God,” Cahn said. “And the only way that salvation can come is for America, revival.”

Then came perhaps his strongest warning:

“Without revival, America as we know it is gone.”

Christians cannot simply wait for Washington to fix what is ultimately a spiritual crisis. Cahn called believers to pray for America, preach the gospel boldly and personally embrace the repentance they hope will sweep the nation.

“If we don’t touch this generation and see the revival of this generation, then the fight for America’s future is over,” he warned.
