“The enemy wants the place of God, so he wants worship,” Cahn says. “Today, we can see this same spirit of Haman, a spirit that’s taking hold of our culture and seeking to make everything bow down to it.”
In a striking parallel, Cahn warns that modern movements—such as cancel culture, radical ideologies and rising government overreach—operate under this same spirit, demanding total conformity and punishing those who stand on biblical truth.
“The more one is prideful, the more one can look down on everyone else,” he says. “And yet the spirit of humility is connected with goodness.”
Drawing from the Purim story, Cahn reminds believers that, just as Haman’s evil plans were reversed, God will ultimately overthrow the schemes of the enemy. Just as we see the spirit of the Antichrist rising in greater and greater measure in our society today, ultimately, Jesus will return, overtaking all the forces of darkness.
