There is no question about it—we live in a world where false prophets will continue to rise until Jesus returns. However, what are there signs we can look out for to make sure that we do not fall victim to a false prophet’s trap?

Recognizing False Prophets
False prophets don’t always preach outright lies—they mix truth with deception.
“If you know the voice of your Father you will be able to spot the nuances in the counterfeit,” Grace says. “Kind of like how bankers can just by touching a bill and looking at it can tell whether it’s counterfeit because they have been trained to spot the best counterfeits that are out there. It’s the same way you have to go through a process of training and purification and refining to get to that point.”

She urges believers to rely on spiritual discernment and the Holy Spirit’s leading rather than emotional appeal. Too often, the modern church lacks vigilance, allowing deception to infiltrate.
Engaging in Spiritual Warfare
Grace describes today’s battle as a “Revelation War,” where believers must stand firm in prayer and truth. She shares how her latest book was a prophetic assignment, confirmed by another prophet’s dream.
“When the Lord has given you something to do,” Grace says. “You need to test it and you need to get confirmation. Sometimes the Lord will suddenly give you confirmation in His Word and that will be one of the confirmations, but He will confirm it multiple times to you and it will always be something that is going to destroy the kingdom of darkness.”
If you feel unsure whether something is from the Lord or not, Grace believes a key is to pray protection and to rebuke if it is the enemy trying to hide himself in plain sight.
Breaking Curses and Enforcing God’s Authority
Many believers also unknowingly allow negative words and spiritual attacks to take root in their lives. Grace teaches that curses can be nullified by declaring God’s Word over situations and rejecting demonic influences in Jesus’ name. The key, she says, is understanding spiritual authority. Through the name of Jesus, we’ve been given power over all the darkness of the enemy, and it is our right to walk as sons and daughters of the Lord Most High.
