Something remarkable is happening right now in our world—something many believers might be overlooking. According to ministry leader John Bevere, we have entered a critical prophetic window that could be the final 50 years before Jesus’ return.
This isn’t just speculation. There’s biblical precedent for it, and Bevere believes the signs are all around us.
The Final Jubilee: What It Means for Us
For centuries, Jewish scholars have taught that most biblical prophecies would be fulfilled in the last 50 years of an age—a period they call the final Jubilee. Why is this significant now? Because both Israel and the Roman Catholic Church have declared 2025 to be the Year of Jubilee.
“We have 50 years,” Bevere says. “We’re in the final 50 years.”
That alone should make us pay attention. But it doesn’t stop there.

The Signs Are Everywhere: Are We Watching?
Bevere points to 2 Thessalonians 2, which warns that a great apostasy—a mass falling away from the faith—must happen before the Antichrist is revealed. And we’re already seeing this unfold.
“How many people today of those 66 million people that have walked away from the faith,” Bevere asks, “how many of those people believe they’re just fine with Jesus?”
That’s the deception. They believe they’re okay, but they have veered off course. Jesus Himself warned in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no one deceives you.”
And here’s the reality: deception is the number one sign of the times.
Bevere explains why deception is so dangerous:
“Deception is so scary—why? Because it’s deceiving! The person who’s deceived believes with all their heart they’re right.”
This is happening now. People are drifting away from biblical truth, believing they’re still in good standing with God. Churches are watering down doctrine. False teachings are creeping in. And the falling away is accelerating.
The Urgency of the Hour
Many believers have become complacent, thinking they have plenty of time. But Jesus specifically warned against that mindset.
“Because the person who says, ‘The Lord delays His coming,’ is the person that becomes worldly.”
The early church didn’t think this way. They gathered together, talking about prophecy, watching for signs, living with an expectation that Jesus could return at any moment. They weren’t doom-and-gloom—they were fired up for the kingdom.
And that’s exactly what Bevere is calling the church to do now.
What Should We Do?
This isn’t the time for distractions. It’s not the time to sit back and assume everything will continue as usual. It’s time to prepare.
Jesus is coming, and the Bible makes it clear we are in the window of the latter rain.
Bevere urges believers to do two things:
- Pay attention. Don’t be deceived. Stay rooted in Scripture, not culture.
- Start talking about prophecy. “The early church talked about it. They would gather together, and all they would do was talk about prophecy.”
We are stepping into a prophetic season unlike any before, will you be ready?
