A dramatic escalation in the Middle East is drawing global attention—and for Amanda Grace, it is raising deep prophetic questions.
As tensions between the United States and Iran intensify, a newly announced naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz is being viewed not just as a geopolitical flashpoint but as part of a larger spiritual narrative.
“This is the time for it,” Grace said during her recent broadcast. “We are watching very biblical events…that are playing out globally.”
Blockade at the Strait of Hormuz
According to reports cited in the broadcast, the U.S. Navy began enforcing a blockade after peace talks between American and Iranian officials collapsed over the weekend. President Donald Trump reportedly ordered the interception of vessels connected to Iran and authorized measures to neutralize threats in the region.
“We’re actually watching a showdown now on the water,” Grace said.

Iran condemned the move, warning of potential retaliation. The fragile ceasefire now appears at risk of unraveling, setting the stage for further conflict in one of the world’s most strategically critical waterways.
Prophetic Parallels to Exodus
What makes this moment especially significant is its timing. These events are unfolding just after Passover—a season historically tied to deliverance in the Bible.
“We are watching the Passover account…play out in modern day,” Grace said, pointing to parallels with Exodus 14. “Pharaoh hardened his heart again…And now we are actually watching a showdown happen on a body of water.”
Drawing from Scripture, she highlighted how Pharaoh initially released the Israelites, only to pursue them again at the Red Sea. Grace believes a similar pattern is now emerging today.
A Global ‘Blockade’ Moment
Beyond the Middle East, Grace suggested that blockades are appearing in multiple arenas, including in U.S. politics.
“We’re watching blockades globally and blockades in Congress,” she said.
The resignation of Rep. Eric Swalwell following misconduct allegations was cited as one example of what she described as a broader exposure of corruption.
“This is just the beginning,” Grace said. “We are watching this very hour…what is unfolding with Congress.”
A Call to Prayer, Not Just Judgment
Despite the serious nature of the allegations, Grace urged believers to respond with prayer rather than condemnation.
“What should our response be?” she asked. “We should be praying for the salvation of Eric Swalwell and his family.”
Referencing John 8 and the story of the woman caught in adultery, she emphasized mercy alongside truth.
“He who is without any sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone,” she quoted, adding, “Hate the sin, love the sinner.”
She also pointed to the transformation of Saul into the apostle Paul as a model of redemption.
“If the Lord can get to that man and turn him into a champion of the faith…that is the justice system of Almighty God,” she said.
