Federal agents descended on Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C., home before sunrise Monday, Oct. 12, as a criminal investigation into the outspoken Minnesota congresswoman takes a dramatic new turn.
According to Fox News Digital, Homeland Security agents executed a search warrant at Omar’s residence in connection with a federal probe reportedly examining potential immigration fraud involving paperwork completed by her late father when she was a child.
The Department of Justice confirmed the operation, stating that agents carried out a judicially authorized search warrant as part of an ongoing federal investigation.
The pre-dawn search comes weeks after White House border czar Tom Homan publicly acknowledged that Omar was under criminal investigation.

Omar, a progressive Democrat who has repeatedly clashed with President Donald Trump over immigration and other policies, has previously dismissed allegations of immigration fraud as politically motivated attacks.
Now, with federal investigators searching the home of a sitting member of Congress, the scrutiny surrounding Omar has reached an entirely new level.
Authorities have not publicly revealed what investigators were seeking, whether evidence was seized or whether criminal charges will follow.
