Pastor Jentezen Franklin is calling believers across the world to take a bold stand in support of Israel as the nation faces mounting threats. In a recent op-ed titled “The Choice Is Crystal Clear: Christians Must Defend Israel As She Confronts Evil,” Franklin makes a powerful appeal to Christians to rise with clarity and conviction.
“In stark contrast to the battle cries of antisemites, and now the loud chorus of pundits defending Iran and its terror network, our message as Christians is this—preserve Israel and all she defends,” Franklin writes.
Warning that Israel is again standing “on the verge of destruction,” he points to Iran’s well-documented aggression. “The Iranian regime has openly and repeatedly vowed to annihilate the State of Israel,” noting that this is not punditry but concrete danger and risk: “This is not a theory. This is a very real, existential threat.”
In vivid detail, Franklin references the horrors of recent attacks: “At Ben Gurion Airport, at least eight individuals were seriously wounded.” He adds, “Iran has now reached the brink of producing nuclear weapons.” His conclusion is firm: “We must say it clearly: there will be no second Holocaust. No more helplessness. No more October 7 massacres.”

Franklin emphasizes that Israel has both the moral and sovereign right to defend itself against those who seek its destruction. “We must stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters—not only because of shared values, but because of a shared God who calls us to be a light in the darkness.”
Citing Genesis 12:3, he reminds readers of God’s covenant: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Franklin highlights tangible steps his congregation and ministry partners have taken in support of the Israeli people. “Our congregation and global partners have chosen to support the people of Israel by investing in the Northern Galilee Emergency Hospital, by donating to the construction of 800 safe houses throughout the Eshkol region, and by building other bomb shelters, civil defense centers, and psychological treatment centers throughout the country.” Charisma Media’s Christian Life Missions also has programs underway supporting the State of Israel, her citizens and multiple ministries in Israel.
For those who may not be able to give financially, Franklin offers another charge: “If you cannot donate funds, donate your voice to amplify our message of peace.”
Franklin’s message includes a powerful and heartfelt reminder to pray for the persecuted church in Iran. “This is also a pivotal moment for Iran, particularly Iranian Christians. The global church must lift them up in prayer and find ways to support them right now.” He adds, “Perhaps this is the beginning of the end of the tyranny and violence they have faced in their own country.”

Echoing world leaders over recent days, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz who said yesterday at the G-7 Summit in Canada, “This is the dirty work that Israel is doing for all of us… We are also victims of this regime. This mullah regime has brought death and destruction to the world,” Franklin concludes, “Our mandate is clear, we must state it clearly: We will always stand side by side with our Jewish brothers and sisters, and we will always have their backs.”
