In the midst of chaos and violence, a team of brave U.S. military veterans from Project DYNAMO demonstrated what it truly means to love thy neighbor. This week, their courage and faith carried them into the heart of Haiti, where they rescued a Christian missionary family trapped in the crossfire of escalating gang violence.
The mission, called Operation Yellowtail, was nothing short of miraculous. The Texas family, including a five-month-old baby with serious health complications, was stranded in a mission compound in Saint-Marc, an area plagued by lawlessness and brutality. Just days before the daring rescue, a gang beheaded a man and left his head outside the compound—an act of sheer evil designed to instill terror.

With a sense of duty and divine purpose, the Project DYNAMO team launched the mission from Miami, Florida, at 4:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Three aircraft, including a helicopter and a private plane, were involved in the operation, which required coordination with two additional nations and support from the Dominican Republic.
“The bottom line is this: when and where no one else will go, if Americans are in harm’s way, Project DYNAMO continues to demonstrate, we will respond,” said Mario Duarte, CEO of Project DYNAMO.
After weeks of meticulous planning, Project DYNAMO’s team of U.S. military veterans successfully executed Operation Yellowtail, a high-risk rescue of an American family from Haiti amid escalating violence and ongoing gang wars.

There’s no question that God’s hand was over this mission. The family’s loved ones, including Dianne Ennis, had been fervently praying for their safety. “We had family, friends and neighbors praying for a successful outcome, and with God’s help, everyone made it to safety,” Ennis shares. “My entire family is so grateful to Project DYNAMO and their team for working so hard to get our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter safely out of Haiti.”
This mission was not just about saving lives—it was a testament to faith in action. When the world turned its back, when the government could not intervene and when all seemed hopeless, a group of determined individuals refused to stand by. They fought for life, for justice and for a family whose only crime was serving God in a place overcome by darkness.
Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 6:8, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'” Project DYNAMO answered this call, venturing into danger to bring one family home. Their bravery serves as a powerful reminder that, even in the darkest places, God raises up warriors willing to risk everything for His people.
