AI is being utilized more and more each and every single day. The question, however, is whether or not it should be used for all purposes including for Christian entertainment and Bible study.
In a report by NPR, the AI Bible, a YouTube channel that focuses on creating Bible stories come to life using AI videos, is drawing quite the stir about its biblical accuracy.

One of the videos produced by AI Bible showcases what the Book of Revelation might play out like. The video uses the descriptions of the end times to bring to life what these events might look like. As NPR noted, AI Bible is owned by Pray.com, and are reportedly being received quite well by those who are watching.
“People are starting to write in on our YouTube, telling us how these stories are really transforming their life, how they’re really impacting them spiritually and mentally,” Pray.com’s Chief Technology Officer Ryan Beck said.
However, not all who see the videos view them in a positive light.
“It’s depressing that anyone would think that approach to biblical material was in any way spiritually edifying,” Brad East, a theology professor at Abilene Christian University said.
So, the question, then, perhaps, is whether or not these media materials are drawing people closer to Christ.
According to NPR, Pray.com’s Vice President for Content, Max Bard says that “AI has given us access to all these tools to bring these stories to life.”
East, on the other hand, disagreed with the pursuit of continuing this kind of content, comparing it to a videogame.
While creative tools like AI can help bring stories to life and spark curiosity, it is important to remember that no form of entertainment—whether a movie, video or AI-generated content—can replace the inerrant Word of God. Media can illustrate, dramatize or visualize biblical truth, but it cannot serve as the foundation of truth itself. Scripture remains the only inspired Word, and every believer should measure what they see or hear in entertainment against the unchanging standard of the Bible.

At the same time, Christian media does have a powerful opportunity: to point people back to Jesus. If the stories we create through entertainment inspire someone to open their Bible, encounter Christ and dive deeper into His Word, then they have served a meaningful purpose.
Our goal should not be to replace Scripture, but to spark a hunger for it—leading people away from mere spectacle and toward a living relationship with the One who is the true Word made flesh.
