Swaggart passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 90 after suffering from cardiac arrest on June 15. As the Swaggart family and the world mourn the loss of a beloved minister of the gospel, President Trump is also sending his condolences to the family.
On social media, Trump wrote:
Very sad, Jimmy Swaggart passed away today! He was an incredible Man of Faith and, as our Nation’s longest serving Televangelist, inspired millions with his Great Love of God and Country. Our hearts and prayers are with his wonderful wife Frances, his son Donnie, and their entire family. Jimmy will be deeply missed!
Earlier today, Swaggart’s son, Donnie, gave insight into what his last moments with his father were like.
““I leaned over and in his ear I said, ‘Dad, I give you my word that Gabriel and I will continue the work just as the vision God gave you, showed you,'” Donnie recounted.
