Attorney General Pam Bondi has released a set of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex offender. This action follows bipartisan pressure to disclose Epstein’s associations and activities.
In a letter dated Feb. 27, 2025, Bondi instructed FBI Director Kash Patel to deliver the complete set of Epstein-related files to her office by 8:00 a.m. on Feb. 28. This request includes all records, documents, audio and video recordings and materials related to Epstein and his associates. Bondi emphasized that there should be no withholdings or limitations on access to these files.

This revelation came after Bondi had previously received only 200 pages, which included flight logs, a list of Epstein’s contacts, and names and phone numbers of victims. Much of this information had already been made public.
The Attorney General has also requested an internal investigation to determine why her initial order for the complete release of Epstein-related documents was not fully executed. She has asked Director Patel to report the findings and any recommendations for personnel action within 14 days.
Conservative political commentators were seen at the White House on Thursday holding binders labeled “The Epstein Files.” These binders, marked “declassified,” were distributed shortly after Bondi’s announcement regarding the document release and only contain the limited files in the initial document release.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) publicly urged Bondi to disclose Epstein’s “client list.” Democratic lawmakers also joined the call for transparency, suggesting that Bondi might be protecting high-profile individuals named in the documents.
Over the years, thousands of pages of records have been released, revealing Epstein’s extensive network. Epstein sexually abused children hundreds of times over more than a decade, exploiting vulnerable girls as young as 14. He died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial in his Manhattan jail cell.
Despite the release, some critics argue that the heavily redacted documents offer little new insight into Epstein’s activities or associations. Bondi has indicated that further phases of document releases will follow pending FBI cooperation, aiming to balance transparency with the protection of over 250 identified victims.
