Right now, scientists who have been looking at the Red Sea uncovered something no one was expecting: death traps.

According to Fox News, these “natural death traps,” which are brine pools thousands of feet below the surface of the Gulf of Aqaba, were found where it is most commonly believed that God supernaturally used Moses to part the Red Sea.
It is believed the waters of this area could be “10 times saltier than normal seawater” with little oxygen, killing most of the aquatic life there, according to Fox.
In the study conducted by Sam Purkis from the University of Miami, it was discovered that these “death pools” just may be the key to finding something no one would have expected: extraterrestrial creatures.
So, could species unknown be in the depths of these waters? And if these “death pools” are truly this deep, might there be some clues as to what happened when Moses parted the Red Sea?
When Moses stretched his hand over the Red Sea, the Lord moved back the waters by the wind, and the Israelites could walk on dry ground. However, when the Egyptians chased after them, Exodus 14:28 says, “The waters returned and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. There remained not so much as one of them.”
Incredibly deep waters with this high of a salt content would have likely ensured the Egyptians’ imminent peril. Not only would they have drowned, but surviving would have been impossible.
