For 11 years, Miriam Webster was part of the creative team at Hillsong Church in Sydney. She has been featured on numerous Hillsong albums, and her songs have been recorded by such artists as New Breed, Don Moen, Martin Smith and Sandi Patti. Now, from her home in the U.S., Webster continues her music ministry.
Her new album, Made Me Glad, features a duet with Hillsong worship leader Darlene Zschech on “Loving Kindness.” This piano-based ballad declares gratitude for God’s goodness and mercy. “Praise Him” is an energetic track sure to get everyone praising God for all He’s done. The title track is a declaration of faith: “You are my shield, my strength, my portion, deliverer / My shelter, strong tower, my very present help in time of need.”
Webster is not new to the worship scene, but Made Me Glad should extend her music ministry. Listeners will enjoy Webster’s vocals, but more important, they will be encouraged hearing the biblically based lyrics again and again.
